XPERTSTEM English Challenge
English language is the widely known communication language of the world that many countries added it in their curriculum as one of the main subjects push students to learn because everyone knows that leaning English is broaden students mind and helping them to improve their understanding skills.
XPERTSTEM had the honour of launching the International English Language competition to challenge students to showcase their knowledge and skills in various areas of English Language and comprehension.
Qualification Rounds for English Challenge
The qualification test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions that assess students’ understanding of what they read and hear of English. Students will have a reading book and a film as resources and all the questions will be about that reading book and film. The qualification test may cover a wide range of topics, word order, conditionals, modals, collocations, phrasal verbs, idioms etc.
Global Round – Elite Finals for English Challenge
There will be 3 challenges for Elite Final, individual challenge that is similar to qualification test, theory exam challenge; that there won’t be multiple choice questions, students need to write the correct answer, and team challenge; also, no multiple choice questions similar to theory exam challenge but for team challenge students will answer all questions as team and the total points will be go to all team members total score.
Core objectives for English Challenge
- Encourage critical and creative thinking: We challenge students to think “outside the box” by engaging with diverse topics, analyzing complex texts, and developing original perspectives.
- Boost confidence: We provide a supportive platform for participants to build their self-esteem and overcome the fear of teamwork and performance.
- Expand vocabulary: We aim to introduce students to new words and linguistic structures and encourage their practical use in context.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration: XPERTSTEM Competition include team-based challenges, like group discussions and dramatic interpretations, to build communication and problem-solving skills.
- Increase motivation for learning: We create a platform for students make the learning process fun and rewarding through recognition and competitive challenges, which can re-energize students’ interest in English.
For the educational community
- Provide meaningful feedback: We would like to give an opportunity to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses in specific areas, giving educators valuable insights for future lesson planning.
- Foster a culture of reading and writing: We encourage students to engage with diverse literary genres and styles by making reading and understanding a central part of our competition.
- Showcase student talent: We offer an opportunity for students to share their creative and intellectual work with a broader audience, which inspires other students to participate.
